We have a new favorite cashmere line, it’s called Minnie Rose! We received a huge shipment for transition and fall this week. Tons of celebrities are wearing pieces from this line! Our favorite pieces are the beautiful cashmere sweaters, but they are going fast! Be sure to come in and grab yours!

Our new obsession is the T.V. show Mad Men! Everyone here at Monkee’s has been watching all of the episodes on DVD! I personally love Betty on the show, especially her clothes.  She seems to carry off conservative ‘60s fashion flawlessly. The styles of the show are being seen everywhere for Fall and Winter this year! Designers like Milly are really copying the 1960′s look for this year and were seeing it already in our store!

Here at Monkee’s we now have the most classic shoe that anyone could ever own! Ferragamo’s, have been around since 1919! Tons of celebrities are wearing them including Sandra Bullock, Amy Adams and Angelina Jolie. We have the high heels, low heels and flats. Our personal favorite is the leopard print flats! The great thing about Ferragamo’s is they are super cute and very comfy! Those are two words usually not put in the same sentence. So make sure to come in soon, so you can fall in love as well!

It’s that time of year ladies, time to clean out your closets! A sale is the ultimate motivation for getting rid of the old and bringing in the new! We have got shoes, clothing and accessories on sale! Donate your clothes to a good charity and come on in to Monkee’s. Do not be to fashionably late for this, because things are flying out the door. The WORST thing I think that anyone can do is have underwear lines showing! Especially if your pants are tight! So ladies please lets all fix this problem. I am not saying everyone should be wearing a thong each time they walk out of the house! We here at Monkee’s all wear Cosabella underwear, because it does not show lines. We have thongs and “boy shorts”! They come in tons of colors, so you don’t have to wear boring underwear to be functional.  No one wants to walk around with panty lines, so come get your cute Cosabella undies!

The MTV movie awards were on last night, so of course I had to watch them. I am all for anything that involves hot celebs and fashion! You never know what you are going to see when you watch anything MTV is airing! I saw a little bit of everything on the red carpet this year. Some people had on cute jumpers and others had on ball gowns?!? This year it seemed that anything goes at the MTV awards. I picked some of my favorite styles out from the carpet this year!

It is HOT HOT here in Winston-Salem, the summer weather has officially kicked in to high gear! We have just gotten in a new shipment of Lilly Pulitzer, which is one of my fav brands to wear when it is oh so hot! Also I adore all of our new Barbara Gerwit tunics! It’s the perfect weather for lemonade and cute sundresses! Stay cool ladies!

Since the royal wedding everyone has gone crazy over hats! And we here at Monkee’s are no exception to that! A hat can take a normal outfit an put it over the top. You can wear a hat on the beach or even to a royal wedding it seems. They even can keep you healthy by protecting your face against skin cancer! So ladies next time you need some extra flair, do not be afraid to put on a fabulous hat. 

Summertime is calling every one’s name!  Especially all of us Monkee’s girls! It is that time of year when you can pull out all the white clothes and beautiful sun dresses.
